Vegan Perfection is two committed vegans, environmentalists and humanitarians, Jeremy and Rebecca, who decided one day that they wanted to spread the benefits of a vegan lifestyle to the Australian population by introducing innovative and superior quality vegan products to the market. Having lived for years in the UK, where there are 250,000 vegans and an estimated 6 million vegetarians, they thought the natural thing to do was import some of the exciting vegan brands that they had enjoyed whilst living there.
In his 'previous life' Jeremy has worked primarily as a Project Manager/Engineer on mines and construction sites in Australia and the UK, with the odd job as bouncer for a Tokyo club and Wildlife Fundraiser in Tasmania thrown in for spice! Although Jeremy had always felt a deep empathy with animals from a young age, it wasn't until 2004 that Jeremy became vegetarian and then vegan after reading the book The Pig Who Sang To The Moon by Jeffrey Masson. When the time is right seeds of conscience that have been dormant for years will finally come to life and face the sun...
Having originally graduated in languages and international studies Rebecca has worked in many different jobs and industries from TV Commercials Producer, Film Runner and Journalist to Market Research Analyst and PA. In addition to working at Vegan Perfection, Rebecca is also a Feng Shui consultant, Theta Healing Practitioner and is passionate about motorbikes. She became vegetarian as a child, after many debates at the dinner table, and has now been a vegan for a total of 7 years.
Vegan Perfection's most important contributors, however, are Jeremy and Rebecca's furry friends Amahl, White Mountain and Poppy. Amahl is a Buddha incarnate, who teaches them and the world something new every day. White Mountain is a little white ray of light who brings laughter and fun into Rebecca and Jeremy's lives whenever they most need it. And Poppy, a Jack-Russell cross who roamed the streets of Melbourne before finding a home with them, is more than happy to assist with product testing at any time! |
